Thomas P. D’Arcy
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
|
|
|
|
As president and chief executive officer, D’Arcy is responsible for the day-to-day
management of Grubb & Ellis Company; he also serves as a member of the board of directors.
He brings to this position 25 years of successful leadership experience at various public
and private real estate companies. Before joining Grubb & Ellis in November 2009, he was a
principal in Bayside Realty Partners, a private real estate company focused on acquiring,
renovating and developing land and income-producing real estate. Previously, he served as
president and chief executive officer of Equity Investment Group, a private real estate
investment trust, as well as chairman and chief executive officer of Bradley Real Estate,
Inc., a NYSE-listed REIT. D’Arcy has been the non-executive chairman of Inland Real Estate
Corporation since 2008 and a member of the board since 2005.

Michael J. Rispoli
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

|
Rispoli was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Grubb & Ellis Company in August 2010. In addition, he is chief financial officer of Grubb & Ellis’ Investment Management subsidiaries, a position he has held since 2008. Prior to being named to his current position, Rispoli was senior vice president, Strategic Planning and Investor Relations, since Grubb & Ellis’ merger with NNN Realty Advisors in December 2007. Rispoli joined NNN Realty Advisors in May 2007. From 2000 to 2007, Rispoli was executive director and corporate controller at Conexant Systems, a publicly traded semiconductor company and Globespan Virata, Inc., an entity that merged with Conexant in 2004. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in 1993.

Matthew A. Engel
Executive Vice President, Finance

Engel was named to his current position in August 2010, having served as interim chief financial officer of Grubb & Ellis Company since May 2010 and senior vice president, Accounting and Finance and chief accounting officer since November 2008. From 2001 to 2008, he held various finance and accounting positions at H&R Block, Inc., including senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Mortgage Services Segment, vice president, controller of the Mortgage Services Segment and chief accounting officer for the parent company. Previously, Engel spent eight years at DST Systems, Inc., a NYSE-traded company and provider of information processing and computer software services and products to financial services companies. He began his career in 1990 at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Jack Van Berkel
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
President, Real Estate Services

Van Berkel is responsible for the operations of Grubb & Ellis Company. In addition,
he directs Grubb & Ellis’ Real Estate Services business, overseeing the company’s
Transaction, Management and Global Client Services groups. He joined the organization
in 2007 and led the successful integration of Grubb & Ellis and NNN Realty Advisors
following the merger of the two companies. Since that time, he has played a key
role in restructuring the organization to better meet the needs of its clients,
expanding the company’s services platform and greatly increasing operational efficiencies.
In addition, he works closely with Grubb & Ellis' board and senior management team
to determine the strategic direction of the company going forward. He has more than
25 years of experience, including senior positions with CB Richard Ellis, First
Data Corporation, Gateway Corporation and Western Digital.
